About The Position

The Production Operator role is responsible for operating all manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently, meeting production standards, and maintaining a clean work environment. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and quality of products throughout the production process. The operator will also be involved in cleaning equipment, sorting products, assisting with changeovers, and cross-training across various operations. Collaboration with team members is essential to achieve safety, quality, and productivity goals.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent.
Experience in a fast-paced, Manufacturing Environment.
Willingness and ability to effectively communicate with peers, supervisors and other levels of the organization to create a positive, team-oriented environment.
Ability to read and write in English.
Basic Math skills such as addition, subtraction and taking measurements.
Willingness to work evening or night shift and weekends as needed based on business need.

Responsibilities

Operate all manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently.
Meet production standards on specific assignments within required time.
Maintain good housekeeping and clean work areas in assigned space.
Ensure safety and quality throughout the production process, including following all safety procedures.
Perform manual and visual quality inspection of products as assigned.
Clean equipment and area before, during, and after shift.
Sort product as needed to ensure quality shipments.
Assist in changeovers when needed.
Cross-train across multiple operations such as presses, palletizers, seamers and/or slitters.
Work directly with team members to meet all safety, quality and productivity goals.
Perform other duties as required by Supervisor or Manager.
