About The Position

Isolatek International was established in 1875 as a manufacturer of mineral wool and today is a global leader in the development, manufacture and distribution of proprietary Passive Fire Resistive Materials for steel protecting commercial, industrial, petrochemical and tunnel projects. Main functions: Develop an understanding of the Cafco production line. Production Operators will work with Supervisors, Shift Leaders, and other Cafco personnel to gain knowledge on the packaging and handling of fireproofing materials. Successful Production Operators will develop the skills required to safely operate and maintain fork lifts, packaging equipment, process line equipment, and safe handling practices of finished goods. Production Operators will develop knowledge to perform functions of the warehouse, mineral fiber baler, two hydraulic baggers, palletizing and packaging equipment, and perform routine cleaning. This position requires a wide range of latitude to meet production and shipping needs and operators must be willing to adapt to changing situations as they arise.

Requirements

  • Must adhere to PPE requirements to ensure safe operating conditions and must comply with all safety policies and regulations.
  • Detail-oriented and have critical thinking abilities with the ability to understand verbal and written direction.
  • Be able to work independently or as a team.
  • Be able to carry out basic tasks on a computer.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and handle 50 lb. bags as required.
  • Perform all necessary cleaning functions as required.
  • Demonstrate learning on process equipment and fork lift operation.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of the production of mineral fiber
  • 2-4 years of experience manufacturing experience
  • High school diploma/GED equivalency
  • 2-4 years of experience with fork lift
  • Knowledge of shipping and receiving
  • Knowledge of Quality metrics
