About The Position

Griffith Foods is hiring a Production Operator to work in various areas throughout the mix plant department. The primary goal is to maintain smooth and efficient operations while achieving daily production targets. They must adhere to safety and food safety policies while supporting the Supply Chain's goal of delivering customer orders on time, in full, and in compliance with quality standards. This posting is for an existing vacancy.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to perform physical job tasks safely and effectively.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently, including comprehension of instructions, correspondence, and memos, and the ability to communicate effectively.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • This is a safety sensitive position, and it requires the use of an N9 NIOSH-approved fitted respirator (“N95”) or an approved alternative.
  • Successful candidates will be required to go through appropriate fit-testing and will be required to wear an N95 while performing their duties.
  • Candidates for this role need to reside within a commutable distance of that location and will be required to come onsite to that location.

Responsibilities

  • Operating, assembling, disassembling, and adjusting production machinery/equipment according to product specifications.
  • Accurately enter and maintain production data in DAX/ERP systems, Redzone, and SCADA (including issuing packaging and raw materials).
  • Verify work accuracy, ensuring correct materials, weights, packaging, labels, and pallet patterns.
  • Follow all safety, security, HACCP, GMP, and BRC policies to uphold workplace and food safety standards while safely operating required equipment, including forklifts, HMIs, and other production machinery.
  • Communicate effectively across shifts to ensure smooth handovers and continuous production flow.
  • Seek continuous improvement in processes and participate in Kaizen / Supply Chain improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment at all times.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 kg on a regular basis.
