About The Position

The Production Operator is a member of the Land O’Lakes, Inc. manufacturing team, performing front-line production processes that add value and quality to inputs and produce final products. The work includes taking raw materials through production, operating machinery and equipment, and packaging finished products. This role is part of the Dairy Foods business, which produces dairy products. The position pays $30.25 per hour, plus a $2.00-per-hour shift differential, and works a 12-hour night shift from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM. Weekends, overtime, and holidays may be required as needed. The Dairy Foods Evaporator Operator is responsible for operating all three onsite evaporators, process control equipment, pasteurizers, heat exchangers, CIP systems, and handling and storage processes. The operator must maintain high GMP and sanitation standards and follow company and regulatory documentation and record-keeping requirements. Assistance with training may eventually be part of the role. The operator must be comfortable with occasional confined-space entry and working at heights.

Requirements

Must be 18 years or older.
At least 1 year of work experience in any industry.
Basic computer and math skills.
Ability to read, write, comprehend, and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
Willingness to learn new skills, problem-solve, and troubleshoot.
Strong collaboration and communication skills, and a respectful manner.
Comfortable with occasional confined-space entry and working at heights.

Nice To Haves

At least 1 year of manufacturing work experience.
Machine operation and/or forklift experience.

Responsibilities

Operate all three onsite evaporators, process control equipment, pasteurizers, heat exchangers, CIP systems, and handling and storage processes.

Collaborate with and follow instructions from Leads and Management to complete daily work assignments.
Assist with training as required eventually.
