About The Position

The Production Operator is responsible for recognizing the correct linen belonging to the account being processed and ensuring that linen is not mixed, dirty, or damaged before it is fed into a machine or hand folded. The role requires maintaining a fast pace that meets company expectations while following safety procedures. Production Operators also help ensure machinery is working properly by communicating issues to their leaders.

The position is based at HNC in Haines City, Florida, and is full-time with a day shift. The listed pay is $15.00 per hour. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required; at least three months of related experience in a commercial laundry or hotel industry is required.

Requirements

• At least three months of related experience in a commercial laundry or hotel industry.
• Ability to understand, comprehend, and follow simple instructions, short correspondence, and product labeling.
• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet required performance goals and objectives.
• Ability to work both in a team environment and alone.
• Good oral and written communication skills in English.
• Good attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Inspect linen to ensure it meets customer quality specifications.
• Place clean, inspected linen into its designated cart or bin.
• Place linen rejected for quality issues or damage in the appropriate bag for return to the hotel.
• Complete labels detailing the bin’s product content by hotel, linen specification, and confirmation of quality inspection.
• Notify the supervisor of linen quality issues to ensure proper handling.
• Communicate machinery issues to leaders.
• Perform other duties assigned by management.
• Maintain a fast pace while practicing safety procedures.
