About The Position

The Production Operator plays a critical role in the manufacturing process by operating machinery, handling materials, and helping ensure production operations run smoothly and efficiently while meeting safety and quality standards. The role includes sanitation work such as power washing and cleaning floors, along with rinsing with low-pressure hoses, squeegeeing, using a sump pump, scraping, sweeping, mopping, and dusting in confined spaces and entryways as needed. Sanitation activities may result in wet working conditions. Personal protective equipment is available upon request for cleaning tasks.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
• Comfort working in environments requiring frequent bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in food manufacturing or a similar production environment is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery and equipment in the manufacturing process to help meet production goals.
• Safely operate a forklift to transport raw materials and other items.
• Use electric hoists, forklifts, and other lifting devices to load materials onto the production line.
• Assist with machinery changeovers for different product-line sizes.
• Record and report production data.
• Follow system operating procedures, GMP/HACCP rules, safety guidelines, and departmental and company-wide food safety policies and procedures.
• Report actual or potential food safety concerns to upper management.
• Carry out sanitation and cleaning tasks, including use of power-washing equipment and other cleaning methods.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
