Production Operator
About The Position
Mural Group is partnering with a global specialty polymer and material science manufacturer to hire Production Operators at its Norwalk, Ohio facility. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity, with the potential to earn a permanent position with full company benefits. The role supports weigh-up and packaging operations on the production floor in a specialty chemical and polymer manufacturing environment. The schedule is a third shift, Monday night through Thursday night, 7:00 PM to 5:30 AM, with possible Sunday overtime. Shifts are 10 hours, four nights per week, followed by three days off. Pay is $21.00 to $28.00 per hour, depending on experience. PPE and safety equipment are provided.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of hands-on manufacturing or industrial production experience.
- Comfort working in a chemical manufacturing environment; PPE is required and provided, including safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, a respirator, and other items as directed by the work area.
- Ability to lift up to 55 lbs frequently and handle up to 250 lbs occasionally.
- Active forklift operator certification, or eligibility and willingness to certify upon placement.
- Strong attention to detail with paperwork and documentation.
- High school diploma or GED.
Responsibilities
- Obtain the correct documentation and ingredients for each batch.
- Set up and start weigh-up and packaging machinery.
- Process and package material to customer specifications.
- Support other operators with materials and supplies to keep equipment running.
- Complete required paperwork and production documentation.
- Maintain safety and housekeeping standards throughout the shift.
