Production Operator
About The Position
The Production Operator is responsible for ensuring that production schedules are met and that all manufacturing equipment is safe to operate. This role involves manufacturing products to meet customer requirements for quality, quantity, and proper packaging and labeling. The operator will also be responsible for maintaining good housekeeping, adhering to safety and environmental standards (including ISO 14001), and supporting team objectives. The position requires the ability to understand operational work instructions, work overtime including weekends, and maintain a good attendance record.
Requirements
- Ability to understand and comprehend operational work instructions.
- Ability to work necessary overtime, which may include weekend work.
- Good attendance and dependability record from previous employers.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds overhead as needed.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.

Responsibilities
- Begin production as scheduled.
- Ensure all manufacturing equipment is safe to operate, including checking guards and stop buttons.
- Complete checklists or operator production sheets before and after production.
- Manufacture product meeting customer requirements for quality, quantity, and proper packaging and labeling.
- Complete production reports hourly as required.
- Maintain good housekeeping in the work area and throughout the plant.
- Adhere to HPPS and Lean Manufacturing directives and instructions.
- Adhere to plant safety and environmental (ISO 14001) requirements.
- Adhere to applicable TS16949 requirements.
- Accept assignments and responsibilities to support team objectives.
- Understand and comprehend operational work instructions.
- Work necessary overtime, which may include weekend work.
