About The Position

The Production Operator completes production process operations according to standard operating procedures, working safely, productively, and to a high-quality standard. Duties may include loading and unloading, inspection, packing, moving materials, recording production statistics, and operating or monitoring equipment and processes. The operator also participates in problem-solving activities to help the team meet its goals.

The role contributes to safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people objectives. This includes following safety standards and standard processes, checking work against JM and customer specifications, escalating issues and improvement opportunities, supporting CAPS implementation and continuous improvement, helping train other operators, and modeling JM Values & Behaviors. The position must be open to second- and third-shift work.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Work in accordance with procedures and rules.
• Must be open to second- and third-shift work.

• Basic to intermediate knowledge of computer usage.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety standards and identify opportunities to improve safety.
• Carry out standard operations, such as loading, unloading, inspecting, and packing, safely and to a high-quality standard.
• Check the quality of work against JM and customer specifications.
• Follow standard processes to complete tasks and escalate issues to support timely resolution.
• Identify and escalate opportunities for improvement.
• Support CAPS implementation, including use of lean tools such as problem solving and 5S.
• Identify continuous-improvement opportunities and implement best-practice principles to enhance performance and operations.
• Support the training of other Operators.
• Model JM Values & Behaviors.
