About The Position

IFF is a global leader in flavors, fragrances, food ingredients and health & biosciences, delivering sustainable innovations that elevate everyday products. The role is based on Rockland, ME and is an on-site role. The position is part of the Food Ingredients business unit, which is expected to transition to CVC Capital Partners pending regulatory approvals. This business unit focuses on innovating improved nutritional profiles, better taste and texture, and greater cost efficiency for global food and beverage manufacturers. The team is creative and solution-oriented, aiming for greatness and making a real impact.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and understanding of industrial equipment operation.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions, procedures, and production documentation.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
  • Ability to work in manufacturing environments with noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime when business needs require.
  • Current and valid driver's license required.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in manufacturing, production, or industrial environment.
  • Experience operating extraction line equipment or similar processing systems.
  • Technical, vocational, or trade school training and/or forklift certification.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor extraction line equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous production.
  • Adjust machine settings and process controls to meet production requirements and quality standards.
  • Perform routine inspections of equipment, raw materials, and finished products to maintain operational excellence.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and report process deviations, equipment malfunctions, and safety concerns.
  • Complete production records, operational logs, and system documentation accurately and timely.
  • Support preventive maintenance activities and assist with basic equipment troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, and other departments to achieve production goals.
  • Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and safety requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment through effective housekeeping practices.
