About The Position

The Production Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring packaging equipment in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. This role ensures that products are packaged according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), regulatory standards, and company procedures, while maintaining high levels of safety, quality, and efficiency. The role involves operating manual and semi-automatic compression moulding/trimming machines, pre-control on rubber compounds, operating washing and coating equipment, and working in a cleanroom environment operating washing, packaging, vision inspection, and steam sterilizer machines. This specific position is a 5th shift, weekend role, requiring an initial four-week 1st shift training cycle.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to speak, read and write English in order to understand operating and other related procedures and to complete all position-related documentation.
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic skills.
  • Performs basic computer skills.

Nice To Haves

  • One month, in plant training - TQM, SPC, GMO, SOP’s, in conjunction with; Six months on the job training

Responsibilities

  • Operates manual and semi-automatic compression moulding/trimming machines in accordance with SOP’s and WI’s to produce moulded sheets of varied products from preform rubber compounds in accordance to productivity standards.
  • Performs pre-control on rubber compounds in accordance to productivity standards.
  • Operates washer, washing lift, container washer, oven, oven lift, coater, and auxiliary machines to support the washing and coating process including in process checks in accordance with SOP’s and WI’s to produce rubber stoppers in accordance to productivity standards.
  • Operates washing, packaging, vision inspection, steam sterilizer machines and other auxiliary equipment to support the washing, packaging, inspection, and sterilization processes including SAP interactions in accordance with SOP’s and WI’s to produce rubber stoppers in accordance to productivity standards.
  • Works under the guidance of Supervisor or Crew Leader to perform and complete assigned duties in a timely manner.
  • Ensures that equipment is maintained in good and safe working condition and work area is clean, safe, and organized.
  • Monitors equipment performance and recommends improvements.
  • Duly follows organizational and work-specific instructions, attends applicable trainings and meetings.
  • Fulfills tasks efficiently and in due course, meets productivity standards, and organizes and performs work effectively.
  • Abides by safety regulations at all times, promotes safety standards, and identifies potential safety risks and reports them actively.
  • Demonstrates initiative to exceed common performance, flexibly adopts changes, works reliably, keeps agreements, and assumes responsibility for entrusted tasks.
  • Is open, respectful, and helpful, constructively contributes to problem-solving in the team, and shares and accepts information and knowledge.
