About The Position

The Furnace Operator is responsible for coordinating the loading, unloading, and monitoring of multiple furnaces. This role involves entering program data, changing over and adjusting equipment, and varying temperatures, timing, and furnace atmospheric conditions. The operator must meticulously record and log hourly data, annotate variances, and ensure all documentation complies with NADCAP requirements. They are also responsible for selecting tools and fixtures to anneal, harden, and braze components, producing parts according to certification and quality guidelines. Additionally, the operator will assist maintenance with calibrations, SAT, TUS, repair, and troubleshooting, cross-train other employees, and maintain professional communication. Adherence to proper PPE, safety equipment, 5-S Principles, Corporate Code of Ethical Standards, and Company IPM/QPM and ISO quality requirements is essential. Regular attendance and punctuality are required.

Requirements

Ability to interpret process sheets/print specifications and apply strict specifications while working with close tolerances
Experience in a self-directed teaming environment
Experience in a manufacturing environment working with furnaces
Self-motivated with a high level of ownership and accountability

Responsibilities

Coordinate load, unload and monitor multiple furnaces
Enter program data, change over, adjust equipment, vary temperatures, timing, furnace internal atmospheric conditions by introduction or evacuation of gases
Record and log hourly data, annotate furnace variances, verify completeness of documentation to comply with NADCAP requirements
Complete all written and or electronic data, labor tracking and quality requirements
Select and obtain tools, fixtures and programs to anneal, harden and braze a wide variety of components
Effectively and efficiently produce parts according to certification and quality guidelines
Assist in maintenance in performing required calibrations, SAT, TUS, repair and troubleshooting of equipment
Cross-train other employees
Communicate professionally and effectively with peers, leadership, and customers
Always utilize proper PPE and safety equipment
Maintain, implement, and improve 5-S Principles
Regular attendance and punctuality required
Adhere to and promote Corporate Code of Ethical Standards
Ensure compliance with Company IPM/QPM and ISO quality requirements
Other duties as assigned
