About The Position

As a Production Operator (described in the posting as a Mixer Operator), you will be a front-line member of Land O’Lakes, Inc.’s manufacturing team. You will perform production processes that add value and quality to inputs, take raw materials through production, and help create high-quality products for customers. The work includes operating machinery and equipment and packaging finished products. This position is part of the Purina Animal Nutrition business, which serves producers and animal owners throughout the United States. The facility is unionized, and the position is covered by a Collective Bargaining Agreement. The role pays $27.35 per hour, plus a $1.00-per-hour shift differential. The scheduled shift is third shift, 10:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.; weekends, overtime, and holidays may be needed. The position involves active physical work, use of personal protective equipment, and work in cold and/or hot environments, potentially in areas with dust and chemicals.

Requirements

Must be 18 years or older.
At least 1 year of work experience in any industry.
Basic computer and math skills.
Ability to read, write, comprehend, and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
Willingness to learn new skills, problem-solve, and troubleshoot.
Strong collaboration and communication skills, and a consistently respectful manner.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Ability to perform frequent movements including walking, standing, bending or stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms, lifting, and climbing.
Ability to perform duties while wearing personal protective equipment.
Ability to work for extended periods in cold and/or hot temperature zones, potentially in areas where dust and chemicals are present.

Nice To Haves
