About The Position

Responsible for performing multiple processes related to the manufacture of technical ceramics and/or metals according to work order specifications. Works within a team environment to meet departmental goals and maintains work area cleanliness.

Requirements

• At least one year of applicable manufacturing experience.
• Ability to understand and act on verbal and/or written instructions.
• Ability to read and interpret standard and metric measurements.
• Intermediate math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Deep knowledge of handheld measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, and drop gauges, as well as advanced measuring equipment such as SmartScope or CMM.
• Ability to use Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing to read and understand the relationship between complex blueprints and parts.
• Attention to detail and excellent listening skills.
• Ability to work with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred, but not necessary.

Responsibilities

• Operate multiple complex production equipment and/or a variety of production equipment to manufacture parts in compliance with work order instructions; make machine adjustments and contact the appropriate person when needed.
• Inspect parts to determine whether products meet quality and customer specifications; take appropriate action concerning parts that do not meet standards and recommend solutions to the appropriate person.
• Transfer parts to the next process using computer software.
• Load, unload, and stack product; transport product using a hand truck, forklift, crane, or hoist.
• Clean work areas, machines, tools, and equipment.
• Train incoming operators on processes and procedures.
• Wear required personal protective equipment at all times in areas where it is mandatory.
