About The Position

Volt is hiring a Production Operator III in Mansfield, Ohio. This full-time contract role performs diversified soldering and assembly operations across a variety of products, including work involving numerous parts, close tolerances, and interrelated factors. The operator uses production equipment and measuring instruments to assemble products and verify that parts meet quality specifications. Additional work includes finishing relays, potting and encapsulation, and packing and shipping. The role operates in a team environment that emphasizes work sharing, team problem solving, and shared responsibility. The operator may also train other employees as needed. The position is on the third shift, from 9:30 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. The listed pay range is $18.00–$19.80 per hour; pay offered to a successful candidate depends on factors including education, work experience, work location, job duties, and certifications.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Proficient in the safe and correct use of measuring instruments, hand tools, soldering irons, and power tools.

Nice To Haves

Manufacturing experience in soldering.
Completed ESD training and J-STD-001 solder certification.
Ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints and wire schematics.

Responsibilities

Perform diversified soldering operations, including torch and iron soldering.
Perform diversified assembly of a variety of products involving numerous parts, close tolerances, and interrelated factors.
Operate equipment required to assemble a variety of products.
Read blueprints and wire schematics, and use measurement instruments to verify parts meet quality specifications.
Finish relays with nameplates, decals, hardware, stamps, and touch-up paint.
Perform packing and shipping duties.
Perform potting and encapsulation operations.
Work in a team environment involving work sharing, team problem solving, and shared responsibility.
Train other employees as needed.
