About The Position

Charter Manufacturing is seeking a Production Operator I to support production at its Charter Wire facility in Menomonee Valley. The role involves machine operation and production tasks including welding, packaging, line setup, quality inspection, and moving materials with forklifts and overhead cranes. Previous machine operator experience is a plus. The position is a day shift from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on a 3-2-2-3 schedule. Starting pay is $21.00 or more, depending on experience, with the opportunity to earn several pay increases within the first two years.

Operators work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment with safety as a priority. The team collaborates to meet customer needs and contributes ideas toward continuous improvement and the development of precision-engineered profiles and solutions. The products are used in everyday applications, including automotive components, consumer products, and oil, gas, and mining applications.

A high school diploma or GED is not required to start; the company will pay for the employee to earn a GED through an accredited program.
