About The Position
Airgas is hiring a Production Operator I (Loader) in Grand Prairie, Texas, for a second-shift role in industrial filling. The operator uses a forklift to move products, compressed gas cylinders, and other materials in order to load route delivery trucks. Duties also include sorting cylinders to ensure proper segregation, delivering empty cylinder pallets to the plant for filling, and loading and unloading delivery trucks. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 12:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with overtime as needed.
Requirements
- Ability to obtain a valid forklift operator’s license.
- Ability to regularly lift up to 60 pounds and occasionally move up to 125 pounds with the aid of material handling equipment.
- Valid U.S. employment authorization; candidates must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future.
- Ability to read and comprehend written and computer-generated documentation.
Nice To Haves
- At least 1 year of forklift experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Drive a forklift to push, pull, lift, stack, or move products, compressed gas cylinders, and other materials to load route delivery trucks.
- Sort compressed gas cylinders to ensure proper segregation.
- Deliver empty pallets of cylinders to the plant for filling.
- Load and unload delivery trucks.
