About The Position

The Production Operator I is responsible for operating basic machinery and supporting efficient production processes under supervision. The role follows established procedures, maintains safety standards, and performs routine checks to support product quality. The position is located in Hazel Park, Michigan, and is scheduled for the first shift, 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. EST.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of machinery and production processes.
• Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Basic math skills.
• Computer skills, including ERP systems.
• Fluency in English and the primary language used in the area of responsibility and/or location.
• High school diploma or equivalent education and experience.
• Previous manufacturing or production experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to frequently lift or move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to perform occasional to frequent pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, twisting, crawling, and/or reaching throughout an 8–12-hour shift.
• Ability to operate motorized vehicles throughout an 8–12-hour shift.
• Ability to stand and/or walk constantly on concrete throughout an 8–12-hour shift.
• Ability to work with possible exposure to noise levels requiring hearing protection throughout an 8–12-hour shift.

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate basic machinery in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Load and unload materials into machinery.
• Monitor machine operations and report issues to the supervisor.
• Perform routine equipment checks and maintenance.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow safety standards and company policies.
• Assist with troubleshooting machine issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
