Production Operator - Coating, Nights
About The Position
Avery Dennison is hiring a Machine Operator - Coating to join their production team. In this hands-on role, the operator will take ownership of setting up, operating, and troubleshooting coating machinery. They will work across key stations including unwind, die, main console/winder, and quality lab to keep production running smoothly and safely. Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED OR 3+ years of relevant manufacturing experience.
- Mechanical Aptitude: Strong troubleshooting skills and curiosity for how equipment works.
- Tech Skills: Basic computer proficiency to track production flow and logs.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work overtime as needed.
Responsibilities
- Operate & Changeover: Lead machine setups, changeovers, and cycle adjustments for optimal productivity.
- Ensure Quality: Perform routine product checks using measuring tools to ensure specs meet accurate tolerances.
- Monitor & Troubleshoot: Keep a close eye on gauges, flow ratios, temperatures, and pressures to identify root causes of equipment issues.
- Collaborate & Record: Maintain logs, support team goals, and cross-train on multiple coating assets.
- Prioritize Safety: Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and champion a safety-first mindset for yourself and your team.
