About The Position

Turing is seeking candidates with manufacturing operations, production workflow management, and team supervision experience, particularly experience appropriate for frontline production or operations leads. In this role, you will contribute your production management and operational expertise to projects evaluating and enhancing AI systems. Prior AI experience is not required. Projects explore how AI can improve decision-making, process efficiency, and operational coordination across manufacturing environments. Day-to-day work includes designing and solving real-world production and operations scenarios to test AI reasoning; writing structured solutions related to workforce scheduling, production control, process optimization, and quality assurance; evaluating AI responses; and collaborating with researchers to refine AI's understanding of factory workflows, leadership decisions, and lean manufacturing practices. The work is fully remote and offered as a contractor or freelance assignment. Projects are approximately one month long, with the possibility of extension; the engagement may potentially be full-time. Compensation varies by project. Turing does not seek confidential or proprietary information, trade secrets, internal company or university data, specific client information or case details, or information that would violate confidentiality obligations.
