About The Position

The Operations Manager is responsible for developing and implementing operational plans for Profile Products Manufacturing’s two manufacturing facilities. The role promotes the company’s Safety First and Customer First culture and manages the facilities in accordance with company values and objectives. It focuses on establishing and maintaining world-class manufacturing facilities, reducing manufacturing costs, optimizing inventory utilization, promoting a LEAN culture, managing operations effectively, and maximizing profitability. The manager oversees production and facility operations, including production standards, budgets, equipment, staffing, schedules, performance evaluations, and compliance. The role also supports long-range operating goals, expansion efforts, and the implementation of new technology, and provides progress and production reports to executive team members as requested.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in industrial management, business administration, agriculture, or a related field.
At least 10 years of manufacturing experience, with specific expertise in process, safety, quality, and plant management.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent time management, including the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and deliver projects within budget; results-oriented.

Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including moving through manufacturing areas; standing, bending, crawling, stretching, lying, and squatting to maintain equipment; performing office activities; occasionally lifting or moving up to 20–25 pounds; and keyboarding.
May require more than 40 hours per week.
Travel as required.

Responsibilities

Oversee product manufacturing to ensure production, performance, and quality standards are consistently met.
Assist the chief operating officer with long-range operating goals, expansion efforts, and implementation of new and advanced technology.
Review production reports to ensure safety, quality, financial, and delivery goals and standards are met.
Promote a healthy and safe working environment and regulatory compliance in collaboration with environmental, health, and safety staff.
Identify and share staff training opportunities to build and improve skills.
Organize departmental management structure and teams for efficient operations.
Work with the chief financial officer to develop the operating budget.
Deliver progress and production reports to executive team members as requested.
Supervise equipment purchases, maintenance, and layout.
Oversee and participate in employee recruitment, hiring, and training.
Oversee division schedules and assignments.
Ensure completion of employee performance evaluations.
Administer employee discipline and termination in accordance with company policies.
Perform additional duties as required.
