About The Position

The Production Operations Manager will lead the Production Operations team, which is responsible for delivering manufacturable, high-quality solutions on schedule and within cost targets. This role involves leading production planning, execution, and transition activities across internal sites and external suppliers. The manager will develop and execute manufacturing transition plans to ensure design for manufacturability, lead cost, schedule, and quality oversight for production activities, and coordinate rate and capacity planning with internal and supplier resources. The position also supports proposal generation with production input and manages make/buy decisions, collaborating with Quality Assurance, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Program Management to meet program goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other related discipline
  • A broad base of knowledge regarding electronic, electromechanical, and mechanical production
  • Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization including to non-technical personnel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated skills in team building and leading through influence
  • Lean Six Sigma experience
  • Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance with Interim required prior to starting
  • Must have the ability to obtain a SAR clearance

  • CAM Certification or cost analysis experience.
  • Green or Black Belt
