Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Welding experience, trade school training, or a combination of education and hands-on experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Familiarity with measuring tools and inspection equipment.
  • Mechanical aptitude and the ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
  • Reliable attendance and a commitment to workplace safety.
  • Stand and walk throughout your shift.
  • Use your hands for welding, fitting, and material handling.
  • Lift up to 40 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Work around welding equipment, moving machinery, noise, heat, and industrial environments while following all required safety procedures.
  • Attendance In order to perform this job the employee must meet all Company attendance requirements.
  • Safety The ability to continuously practice safe habits in the workplace while following all policies and procedures related to health and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Weld components using GMAW (MIG) and GTAW (TIG) processes according to customer and company prints.
  • Read blueprints and process sheets to determine assembly methods and weld sequences.
  • Inspect parts and verify dimensions using measuring and inspection equipment.
  • Set up and assemble fixtures using Bluco or layout tables.
  • Lay out reference lines and machining locations from engineering prints.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, clamps, and welding equipment to complete assemblies.
  • Heat, clamp, or manipulate parts to achieve proper fit and dimensional accuracy.
  • Complete assemblies through welding, brazing, or other approved fabrication methods.
  • Review production schedules and work orders to keep work moving efficiently.
  • Help prepare completed work for shipment.
  • Work safely while maintaining high standards of quality and craftsmanship.
  • Pitch in wherever needed to help the team succeed.
