About The Position

The MIG Welder/Fabricator measures materials and performs simple or complex shop calculations to ensure products meet engineering or sales specifications. The role uses shop materials, methods, and equipment, including sanders, drills, air tools, and electric hand-cutting tools. Duties include steel material fit-ups and layouts, MIG welding as part of a team, securing workpieces with hand tools or forklifts, inspecting products and equipment for defects or malfunctions, sanding and grinding, breaking out steel, assembling steel panels using bolt-together construction, and handling materials.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Manufacturing or fabrication experience.
• 2–3 years of MIG welding experience.
• Ability to use power tools.
• Ability to read a tape measure and blueprints.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems.
• Highly motivated.
• Ability to communicate and work well with others.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Reliable transportation.
