Requirements

  • Strong HVAC required.
  • Mechanical experience necessary, electrical abilities necessary.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • High School Diploma Required
  • Basic mathematical skills are required (must be able to calculate averages)

Nice To Haves

  • Previous food manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Stationary engineers/ammonia refrigeration experience preferred.
  • Trade School level of Electrical or Mechanical training preferred.
  • Dairy Experience Preferred
  • Knowledge of computer software helpful.

Responsibilities

  • PM’s will be done on a daily basis.
  • Troubleshoot and repair production equipment in production operations, utilities, buildings & grounds, etc.
  • Maintains machines with respect to bearings, assembly, disassembly, power transmission, rigging, and lubrication.
  • Effectively completes bench work utilizing common hand tools.
  • Learns to do rudimentary pipefitting of water, steam, and air lines with steel, plastic, and copper pipe materials.
  • Performs routing preventative maintenance on designated equipment. Will assist upper class mechanic on major overhauls. Learns to identify potential issues and reports these to the necessary persons.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in work required.
  • Clear communication abilities, written and verbal.
