About The Position

US Farathane is seeking a 3rd Shift Production Material Handler. US Farathane has been a leading source of plastics manufacturing, supplying the automotive industry for over 40 years. We provide customers with a wide range of full-service support from black-box design concepts to highly engineered composites, TPE’s and TPO’s as well as specialized extrusion and compression technologies.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Hi-lo experience.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to supervisors and other employees of the organization.
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s.
Ability to recognize numbers and not transpose digits.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Ability to manage multiple tasks at one time.
Regularly required to stand and use hands to touch, handle, or feel.
Frequently required to drive a forklift truck or operate a pallet jack.
Frequently required to walk and reach with hands and arms.
Occasionally required to sit and talk or hear.
Must regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include ability to adjust focus, demonstrate depth perception and have good hand –eye coordination.
Must not wear any loose-fitting clothing that may get in the way of the moving machinery.

Responsibilities

Put away finished product correctly
Perform all Housekeeping duties in conformance to the Housekeeping Verification
Keep presses stocked with totes and skids
Keep returnable storage area stocked
Keep front wall, front aisle, and back aisle clear at all times
Remove all stock, packaging, and assembly equipment from the press at the time of all mold changes
Keep returnable lids picked up
Follow and enforce safety standards for the operation of the forklift truck
Any other duties as assigned by Plant Supervision
