About The Position

Grupo Antolin Kentucky, Inc. seeks a Production Manager in Louisville, KY. This position does not require travel. The role is responsible for the day-to-day operational requirements to ensure customer satisfaction via quality, delivery, and cost. The Production Manager will develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods using engineering and other techniques, including but not limited to, Line Balancing, VSM, Time Study/Analysis, DOE, and Problem Solving. They will design and implement Lean Manufacturing Processes to reduce waste and increase productivity, analyze workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout to optimize production efficiency, and ensure the day-to-day efficiency of operations for the site. Additionally, the role provides technical support to production teams to troubleshoot process and equipment issues, recommends modifications to equipment or procedures to improve quality and efficiency, and conducts root cause analysis for production defects or quality concerns and implements corrective actions. The Production Manager will lead Kaizen events and participate in Six Sigma or other continuous improvement initiatives, collect and analyze production data to identify trends and performance gaps, and develop reports on efficiency, cycle times, downtime, and yield improvement. They will create and validate process documentation, including PFMEAs, control plans, and work instructions, and ensure compliance with safety standards, engineering codes, and environmental regulations. The role also involves developing ergonomic and safe manufacturing solutions for operators, developing and monitoring statistical control charts to ensure process stability and capability, analyzing process variation and taking corrective actions based on Six Sigma methodologies, and performing line balancing and takt time analysis to increase production efficiency. Recommendations and implementation of changes in storage, handling, and workstations are also part of the duties. Support for the qualifications of new suppliers by reviewing technical specifications and performing evaluations, and evaluating and approving tooling for new and existing products are required. Conducting PFMEA sessions to identify potential failure modes in the manufacturing process and collaborating with design teams to select and optimize tools and fixtures for assembly lines are key responsibilities. The Production Manager will account for resource planning, execution, and delivery of the production schedule whilst ensuring delivery schedules to customers are met on time in full and analyze any risks impacting these. They will manage their team in line with headcount and budget, maintain an effective working relationship with all other departments, and ensure clear adherence to the Antolin vision and values. Finally, the role ensures IATF 16949 and QMS requirements are met, and Ebono system management.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree (or foreign academic equivalent) in Engineering, Business Administration , Engineering Management, Operations Management, Project Management, or other related technical field
Five (5) years of progressive, postbaccalaureate experience in the offered or related position in the Automotive Industry
5 years of automotive manufacturing experience in durable goods, appliances, or electronics
5 years of management experience in quality, logistics, or operations department management
Must have legal right to work in U.S.
