About The Position

The Production Manager will oversee and lead the implementation of the QRMP (Quality Risk Management Process) system and operational standards. This role drives KHMS across the operation by monitoring performance, identifying gaps, and leading actions that improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost results. The Production Manager adheres to Kraft Heinz quality standards to ensure product quality and Food Safety by following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s), standard operating procedures (SOP’s) and Kraft Heinz specifications. This role is responsible for preparing departmental costs and variances related to productivity, planning, labor and product scheduling, raw materials, packaging supplies, product weights, sanitation, and housekeeping. The Production Manager organizes and facilitates production line activities to ensure conformance to established requirements regarding quality, safety, employee-relations, productivity, and cost scheduled volume outputs. This role collaborates with Product Development, Suppliers, Engineering, Quality, and Factory Employees to find innovative ways to improve the Quality and productivity of our Products. The Production Manager supports employee involvement in Safety, Analytical Problem Solving, Project Planning, Vendor and Customer Relations, fostering a Team atmosphere. This role monitors and updates all area practices and policies for compliance and works with the Product Supply Group in weekly scheduling of the Packaging and Processing Area to optimize productivity. The Production Manager prepares, distributes, and follows up with regard to all established records, reports and/or forms, and ensures strong, effective communication across functions and with employees, vendors and government regulators. This role monitors productivity data and helps develop corrective action plans necessary to achieve annual productivity improvements. The Production Manager implements safety measures for accident prevention through monthly departmental safety meetings and working with salaried Supervisors to ensure hourly employee compliance. This role reports on quality defect issues and helps determine necessary corrective actions to eliminate repetitive failures. The Production Manager embraces the KHGPS principles necessary to accomplish these objectives and supports change management techniques to develop the culture of continuous improvement and engagement. This role also assists with the supervision of the Production staff, including performance management and employee development. The Production Manager should be familiar with maintenance strategies and OEE improvement processes.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment is required
  • 5 years of progressive leadership experience in a manufacturing environment is required

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Food Technology, or related degree is strongly preferred
  • Lean Six Sigma Experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the QRMP audit and assist in the development of procedures and corrective actions

  • Adhere to Kraft Heinz quality standards to ensure product quality and Food Safety by following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s), standard operating procedures (SOP’s) and Kraft Heinz specifications
