About The Position

Independence Corrugated, a subsidiary of Schwarz Partners and corrugated manufacturing industry leader currently has an exciting opportunity available for a Production Manager in Oak Creek, Wisconsin. As the Production Manager, you will manage and coordinate the safe production of quality products in a clean environment by directing, scheduling, organizing and monitoring staff and workflow. Requirements

  • At least 3 to 5 years of Production Management manufacturing/industrial experience.
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • General mechanical skills/abilities – Troubleshooting, ability to understand the technical aspects of several complex machines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills – Must be able to accurately communicate with superiors, peers, and employees, as well as customers, vendors, and contractors.

Nice To Haves

  • Corrugated Manufacturing/mechanical experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and manage plant operations for production, maintenance, quality and shipping and receiving.
  • Coordinate plant activities through the planning with departmental managers to insure the total manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost effective manner.
  • Manage employee Pay per Skills program
  • Implement cost effective systems of control over capital, operating expenditures, manpower, wages and salaries.
  • Establish and monitor overall plant performance for production and quality standards.
  • Maintain existing plant facilities and equipment; replace, or make adjustments to plant facilities and equipment when necessary.
  • Provide leadership and training to accomplish the company goals and objectives.
  • Daily production and waste reporting
  • Manage plant goals and Teamsharing program
  • Employee relations
  • Customer interaction
  • Training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; conflict resolution; team building; coaching and leading employees to improve; addressing complaints and resolving problems; documentation; and setting an example of superior behavior, attitude and performance.
  • Managing processes; making process improvements; tracking budget expenses; production planning; designing controls and instrumentation; strategic planning; complex decision-making; financial planning and strategies.
  • Maintains positive working relationship with employees and peers.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures and all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Attend and participate in corporate safety training seminars and conference calls.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate any safety concerns within the plant.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
