About The Position

At Stone Systems, we are looking for a Production Manager for our Shop located in NJ. This role offers the opportunity to work in a multinational environment that is in full expansion, surrounded by numerous challenging projects. The Production Manager will be responsible for managing and monitoring the activities of the shop team, carrying out plans, and tracking targets to achieve daily productivity standards safely and with the required quality. The function is to ensure the efficient and timely production of our products, making sure everything is within budget and standard. Roles and responsibilities may evolve based on business needs; additional duties may be assigned without prior notice or consent.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in stone/solid surface manufacturing or similar industry.
  • 3+ years of experience managing a manufacturing team.
  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • CAD design.
  • Leadership skills.
  • Strong organization and relationship management skills.
  • Machinery operation.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40lbs.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Self-confidence.
  • Flexibility.
  • Initiative.
  • Safety-oriented.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field.
  • Lean manufacturing certification.
  • ERP SAP.

Responsibilities

  • Delegate tasks and meet daily scheduled productivity goals, measured in square feet of finished product per employee.
  • Support Human Resources in the recruitment process of shop personnel.
  • Training and developing the team.
  • Ensure all safety policies and procedures are being followed.
  • Clean and maintain a safe working area ensuring that Health and Safety processes and procedures are followed.
  • Responsible for shop and equipment by delegating shop maintenance and cleaning on a daily, weekly, monthly basis.
  • Responsible for maintaining accurate and efficient consumables usage and ensuring order submissions are processed.
  • Manage and verify that inventory and stock needs are met.
  • Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs).
