About The Position
At Stone Systems, we are looking for a Machine Operator for our Shop located in Mundelein, IL. This role offers the opportunity to work in a multinational environment that is in full expansion, surrounded by numerous challenging projects. As a Machine Operator, you would be responsible for preparing and performing various tasks to set up, operate, monitor, troubleshoot, and perform preventive maintenance on assigned machines/equipment.
Requirements
- Basic knowledge in math (adding, subtracting, measurements, etc)
- Basic knowledge in maintenance
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40lbs.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in fabricating Marble, Granite and Quartz
- Experience in Construction, Industrial and Manufacturing fields
- Experience operating a forklift
Responsibilities
- Fabricate edges, sides, corner radius, angles and sink cutouts using tools required in the process
- Verify all pieces were checked, fabricated and returned to the same cart number and checked in the tracking sheet as complete
- Meet daily productivity goals
- Verify quality of finished workpieces by inspecting, comparing to templates and measuring their dimensions
- Record product and process data on specified forms when needed
- Assist in minor repair and maintenance on assigned equipment
- Wearing all Personal Protective Equipment (safety glasses, earplugs, waterproof, face mask, etc.)
- Assuring all work area is cleaned and organized
