About The Position
Envases Ohio is seeking a Production Maintenance Technician (PMT) to take ownership of our high-speed Draw & Redraw (DRD) manufacturing equipment. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, enjoys solving complex mechanical challenges, and takes pride in keeping equipment running safely and efficiently. As a PMT, you will play a critical role in maintaining equipment performance, supporting production goals, and ensuring we deliver high-quality food-grade packaging products to our customers.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 2–4 years of experience working with industrial machinery, manufacturing equipment, or maintenance systems
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Hands-on experience with presses, tooling, hydraulics, pneumatics, or automated equipment
- Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings, blueprints, and technical documents
- Experience using precision measuring tools
- Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
Nice To Haves
- Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electro-Mechanical Technology, or related field
- Experience with Draw & Redraw (DRD) presses or high-speed metal packaging equipment
- Experience with PLCs, HMIs, motor drives, and automated manufacturing systems
- Knowledge of food safety standards, GMP requirements, or BRCGS standards
Responsibilities
- Operate, set up, and support high-speed Draw & Redraw (DRD) manufacturing equipment
- Perform mechanical troubleshooting, repairs, adjustments, and preventative maintenance to minimize downtime
- Complete machine changeovers, tooling adjustments, and equipment setups
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electro-mechanical issues
- Monitor equipment performance and make adjustments to improve reliability and efficiency
- Perform quality checks using precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Partner with Production and Maintenance teams to identify root causes and implement solutions
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and quality documentation
- Follow strict food safety, GMP, and safety standards in a regulated manufacturing environment
