About The Position

This position is primarily responsible for the repair and maintenance of production equipment. The role requires a basic knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical skills, the ability to learn various system functions, and the capacity to perform routine inspections and repairs on production machinery. Flexibility and autonomy are key, as the technician will be expected to manage their own time, adapt to changing priorities, and work independently after training.

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of mechanical and or electrical skills preferred.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to others within the work group.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Diligent, punctual and disciplined.
  • Able to manage own time to meet objectives.

  • Employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; manual dexterity to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear; and taste or smell.
  • The employee may lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
  • Specific vision abilities required by the job may include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • The individual must have a high level of comprehension, and a high level of general, verbal, written, and numerical intelligence.

Nice To Haves

  • 2 year Technical Certificate from college, technical or vocational school; or 5 or more years related experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Routine inspections of Mechanical equipment.
  • Repair of air cylinders, hydraulic pumps, water jet vacuum systems, punch presses and pneumatic equipment after appropriate training period.
  • Changing molds for production, hookup.
  • Repair of vacuum systems, punch presses pneumatic equipment.
  • Provide assistance as needed to others within the group.
