About The Position

This position is primarily responsible for the repair and maintenance of production equipment. The role requires basic mechanical and/or electrical skills, the ability to read and comprehend instructions, write correspondence, and present information effectively. Mathematical skills for basic arithmetic and reasoning ability to follow detailed instructions are also necessary. The ideal candidate is diligent, punctual, disciplined, flexible, and able to work autonomously after training. They should also be able to learn various system functions including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and steam.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to others within the work group.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Diligent, punctual and disciplined.
  • Able to manage own time to meet objectives.
  • Flexible and willing to adapt work pace and methods to handle changes, prioritization and meet deadlines.
  • Autonomy – is able to work alone and assume responsibility after and appropriate training period.
  • Puts own lee way to good use and exercises discernment in making decisions and taking action.
  • Ability to learn mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, steam and related system functions.
  • (2) year Technical Certificate from college, technical or vocational school; or 5 or more years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic knowledge of mechanical and or electrical skills preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Routine inspections of Mechanical equipment.
  • Repair of air cylinders, hydraulic pumps, water jet vacuum systems, punch presses and pneumatic equipment after appropriate training period.
  • Changing molds for production, hookup.
  • Repair of vacuum systems, punch presses pneumatic equipment
  • Schedule flexibility to support critical deadlines may be required.
  • Provide assistance as needed to others within the group.
