About The Position

The Production Line Team Lead acts as the first responder providing immediate support to team members in areas including but not limited to safety, quality, machine availability or function and personal support. The Production Working Line Lead functions as a producer when not supporting the team in these areas. This role has limited responsibilities for the direction of production employees, specifically assigning and directing the work of hourly production employees.

Requirements

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required.
3 years of experience in manufacturing preferred.
Analysis, problem solving, process and troubleshooting skills.
Communication / inter-personal skills.
Organized and possess good decision-making skills.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Ability to communicate with employees at all levels of the organization.
Ability to operate email system, prepare basic presentation materials using Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

Promoting a safe and productive work environment.
Directing set up and adjustment of machinery and equipment.
Interpreting specifications/job orders to employees and assigning duties.
Recommending measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, safety and morale.
Suggesting changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency and safety of the department.
Training new or newly assigned employees on their job duties and job responsibilities, including the quality and safety aspects of their job.
Performing regular production activities when not addressing downtime issues.
Reviewing process documents for accuracy and completeness.
Supporting and completing 5s audits as required.
Maintaining a clean, organized, safe working environment with equipment and materials located in proper locations in accordance with 5S standards inside and outside of facility.
Providing back-up support when Production Group Leader is not available.
Working all designated shifts.
Maintaining an excellent attendance record.
Working in a team environment.
Other duties as assigned.
