About The Position

Ryder is hiring a Production Line Lead in Wilmer, Texas. The role supports production assembly lines in a warehouse and distribution environment. The lead sets up, operates, and reconciles assigned lines; verifies customer products; trains line workers to assemble components and pack products according to documented work instructions and quality requirements; and ensures units and pallets are packed correctly. The position pays $22 per hour, consisting of $20 base pay and a $2 weekend-shift premium. Pay is weekly, and training and safety gear are provided. The schedule is Friday through Sunday, 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM. Some assignments may require additional screening, such as employment and education verification, motor vehicle records checks and a road test, or customer badging or background requirements.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to multitask and work within multiple systems at the same time.
Ability to react positively to change and handle additional tasks as required.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Advanced proficiency, knowledge, and/or experience with production assembly lines.

Nice To Haves

One year or more of experience performing simple mathematical calculations.
One year or more of experience operating a computer and handheld scanner.
One year or more of previous experience as a team lead.
One year or more of previous production experience.
Bilingual ability.

Responsibilities

Set up, operate, and reconcile assigned production assembly lines.
Ensure the correct customer product is on the line.
Train line workers to assemble components and pack products according to documented work instructions and quality requirements.
Ensure units and pallets are packed correctly.
Perform other duties as assigned.
