About The Position
As a Production Line Assembler I, you will be trained to assemble, build production parts, ribbon, and dowel pins on repetitive parts with simple to high complex parts.
Requirements
- Two years production assembly or related experience.
- Ability to read and understand basic to complex assembly instructions.
- Basic math and counting skills.
- Knowledge of Shop safety practices and use of PPE.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.
- Ability to learn new skills.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma, GED, and/or college preferred.
Responsibilities
- Communicate with production lead and supervisor.
- Follow instructions and shop procedures, including updates, signatures, stamps, counting quantities, labeling, work instructions, and detecting non-conformance parts.
- Ensure correct Traveler accompanies all work orders.
- Aid other personnel as needed.
- Operate a variety of pneumatic and electric power tools.
- Read blueprints, tooling instructions, and standard charts for specifications.
- Achieve required surface finishes such as lay patterns and sealing surfaces according to blueprints or instructions.
- Ensure company procedures and “Best Know Methods” are followed.
- Install parts into production assemblies.
- Report all material shortages to Production Supervisor.
- Verify conformity of finished parts to specifications and part drawings prior to hardware installation.
- Label and isolate non-conforming material.
- Perform preventative maintenance and other related duties.
