Requirements

  • Certified forklift driver
  • Ability to recognize and understand numbers, values, and enters this information into an on-line database accurately.
  • A strong mathematical ability is essential.
  • Ability to visually distinguish fine variations in color and other visual defects.
  • Proficient hand/eye coordination to operate equipment.
  • Ability to visually and mentally make priority decisions and independent judgment calls based on the situation at hand.
  • Ability to efficiently and effectively use a computer and related software.
  • Applicable work experience
  • Attendance - A current attendance record with more than 7 points will be considered unsatisfactory for a department transfer
  • Corrective action notices of a written warning level or higher in the previous 6 months
  • Corrective action notices of a final written warning in the previous 12 months
  • Performance reviews and work history, including demonstrated proficiency in current manufacturing position.

Responsibilities

  • Abides by all Amcor’s Safety and Quality policies and procedures.
  • Analyze causes for Q.C. rejects and takes appropriate corrective action.
  • Ability to inspect for visual defects, perform statistical quality control checks and tests of finished products.
  • Ability to adjust settings in blow mold machines for process control.
  • Capable of running all equipment to give necessary breaks.
  • Direct and guide employees and temporary workforce.
  • Fill in for supervisory staff, as needed.
  • Direct contact with customer.
  • Perform other area or departmental duties as assigned by Amcor Supervisory/ Management personnel.
