Oversees and coordinates the daily activities of a production team to ensure efficient manufacturing operations and the achievement of production targets.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 1-2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of production processes, lean manufacturing principles, and quality control systems.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using production management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work flexible hours and occasional overtime as required.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing setting.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of production operators, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Plan, organize, and monitor production schedules to meet deadlines and customer demands.
- Ensure adherence to all safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies.
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Monitor production output, scrap rates, and efficiency metrics, and report on performance.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production processes and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering, quality, and maintenance, to resolve production challenges.
- Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
- Conduct team meetings to communicate production goals, provide updates, and address concerns.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment.
