About The Position

We are seeking a Production Lead for our 3rd shift to lead and support team members in the production and packaging of Kringle, cakes, artisan baked goods, and seasonal items. This role involves overseeing various stages of production, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards, and collaborating with other departments to meet company-wide goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production leadership and a passion for excellence.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 3–5 years of leadership experience in food production, baking, packaging, or a related field.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)
  • Ability to read and follow instructions in English.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
  • Comfortable standing, bending, and performing repetitive tasks for extended periods.
  • Able to work in varying temperatures (50°F–95°F) and around allergens (milk, eggs, wheat, soy, tree nuts, sesame).

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience with artisan baking, mail order fulfillment, and seasonal product packaging is a plus.
  • Spanish language skills a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support team members in the production and packaging of Kringle, cakes, artisan baked goods, and seasonal items.
  • Oversee mixing, baking, decorating, and packaging processes to meet production goals.
  • Coordinate mail order packaging and seasonal product fulfillment, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Train, coach, and develop team members to meet performance and quality standards.
  • Monitor production flow and proactively address bottlenecks, staffing needs, and inventory levels.
  • Ensure adherence to GMP, HACCP, SQF, and OSHA standards.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate with maintenance as needed.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of quality and safety checks.
  • Collaborate with other departments to meet company-wide production goals.
  • Serve as acting Supervisor when needed and support cross-functional teams during peak seasons.
