About The Position

Egan Company is seeking candidates for an Production Lead position located in Champlin, MN. The Production Lead is responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations, directing staff to meet production targets while ensuring quality standards and safety protocols are met in support of Egan’s High Volume control panel lines. Working hours are Monday through Friday, 6:00 am – 2:30 pm. Overtime may be required based on business needs. You will be working in an air-conditioned warehouse.

Requirements

  • 3+ Years of manufacturing experience leading production teams.
  • Desire and ability to thrive in a rapid and detail-oriented environment when interacting with a variety of co-workers and customers.
  • Self-starter who conducts duties with urgency and commitment to exceptional customer service.
  • Highly motivated and able to multi-task.
  • Proficiency in using standard office computer programs such as Google Suite, Word, and Excel.

Nice To Haves

  • Electrical or electronics training, education, or equivalent experience building electrical control panels is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day to day production activities to ensure production and operational goals are achieved.
  • Cultivate a shop floor culture dedicated to meeting production goals while focusing on safety, continuous improvement, and lean manufacturing.
  • Drive team productivity by managing daily operational workflows and providing mentorship on industry best practices to foster a highly skilled and cross-functional team.
  • Maintain a positive work environment with high employee engagement.
  • Ensure quality standards are continuously being upheld.
  • Work with cross function teams to implement 5S methodology across the production line.
  • Use KPIs to investigate and mitigate production issues such as safety, quality, delivery and cost.
  • Support new process and product development and implementation.
  • Adhere and support all safety and guidelines applicable to the shop and warehouse.
  • Maintain professionalism with co-workers, customers, sub-contractors, vendors, project managers, office, and field staff.
  • Other duties as assigned by Management.
