About The Position

This position works with breeder servicemen and supervises and monitors hatchery production, egg pickup, inventory, and egg breakout while keeping costs as low as possible. The role is responsible for maintaining records, directing and training personnel, setting schedules, monitoring safety and bio-security practices, and supporting the production of healthy baby chicks for broiler grow-out. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Two years of experience in a processing or manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of baby-chick hatchery operations.
• Previous supervisory experience.
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to recognize unsafe conditions and advise others when they are observed.
• Computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite programs such as Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• High school diploma or GED.

Nice To Haves

• College degree in a related field preferred.
