About The Position

This position exists to assist with putting IWS Standards in place in the JTI RMC Factory in Danville, VA. This is for a three-month contract and includes no benefits. It is an opportunity for college students to become familiar with the tobacco manufacturing environment while working during summer break from college.

Requirements

• Candidate should be 18+ years of age
• Candidate should be working toward an Associate, Bachelor, or Master Degree in a college
• Articulate in English with good communication and written skills when dealing with individuals.
• Self-Motivated, Ability to work in a team environment, open-minded
• Proficient in Computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft applications.

Nice To Haves

• Mechanical/Electrical Engineering Skills a plus.

Responsibilities

• Together with the production and maintenance team develop maintenance standards for line equipment
• Together with the line mechanics and electricians develop instructions for troubleshooting, equipment adjustments, and eradication of machine issues.
• Work with maintenance and electrical departments to develop safety stock for spare parts.
• Work with cell structure team to develop new standards of IWS Systems.
• Other duties requested by the Maintenance Manager.
