About The Position

Pilgrim’s is hiring for first-shift evisceration production positions. In this hands-on role, team members work on a poultry processing line performing tasks such as cutting, trimming, packaging, and inspecting products to meet food safety and quality standards. The work includes operating equipment, maintaining a clean work area, and following safety and biosecurity guidelines. The position is in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and teamwork are important.

The first-shift schedule is Monday through Friday, five 8-hour shifts, from 5:30 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. Some weekend work is required. The base rate is $17.65 per hour; a shift differential applies to third shift only.

Requirements

• Ability to multitask and work quickly.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Willingness to work close to other employees at some stations.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Poultry or food industry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process poultry products using tools, manual labor, and equipment according to USDA and Pilgrim’s standards.
• Monitor equipment operation and promptly report malfunctions or safety concerns.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow safety, food safety, and animal welfare guidelines.
• Support team members by sharing skills and knowledge and promoting a positive work atmosphere.
• Participate in continuous improvement and problem-solving initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned to meet production and quality goals.
• Perform tasks in different areas of production as needed.
