About The Position

Orla Mining is seeking a motivated Production Geologist to join their team at the Musselwhite Mine. This role reports to the Senior Production Geologist and is crucial for providing effective grade control of the underground mine. The position involves sampling, mapping, and reporting on underground headings, as well as collaborating with Engineering and Mining Departments to optimize operations. The Production Geologist will also be responsible for interpreting geological data, modeling deposits, designing and managing drilling programs, and logging diamond drill core. Requirements

• 4-year B.Sc. degree in Geology, or equivalent
• 2 - 5 years of relevant experience preferred
• Geo, or working towards designation
• Strong analytical and organization skills
• Excellent communication skills (oral, written, listening, presentation)
• Ability to frequently lift, carry and push 55 lbs
• Ability to frequently reach below and at-shoulder level
• Strong commitment to working in a safe, socially responsible manner
• Experience working in a culturally diverse environment

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of Deswik and Acquire software’s is an asset

Responsibilities

• Provide effective grade control of the underground mine
• Perform sampling and mapping of underground headings and associated reporting
• Liaise with Engineering and Mining Departments to optimize grade control and operational efficiency
• Provide information for daily, weekly and monthly reporting
• Perform interpretation and modeling of lithology and mineralogy
• Design and manage delineation drilling programs
• Interpret geological data and model deposits
• Log diamond drill core as required
