About The Position

Ellsworth Creamery is seeking a Full-Time Production General Laborer to join their team. This role offers opportunities for overtime and a comprehensive benefits package. The Production General Laborer will work in either the cheese or whey department, responsible for accurately filling and securing products for shipment. The position requires interaction with other departments and a willingness to learn and assist in various areas. The facility specializes in producing All Natural White Cheddar Cheese Curds, Crumbles, and sweet whey powder.

Requirements

Reliable attendance and on-time arrival.
Ability to read and follow directions.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Must pass forklift operations training.
Must be 18 years of age.

Nice To Haves

Eagerness and willingness to learn and work in the dairy industry.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Basic computer knowledge preferred.
Experience in Warehouse or Manufacturing environment desired.

Responsibilities

Work on the Production line with a focus on accuracy, consistency, and meeting daily output goals.
Monitor product quality (freshness, texture, appearance).
Ensure barrels/boxes are properly sealed and labeled.
Follow food safety and sanitation standards and keep work station clean.
Operate forklift efficiently and safely.
Properly record production data.
Load/unload trucks.
Perform minor maintenance of equipment.
Properly operate the scan gun.
Make barrels and boxes for product sales.
Fill and cap 500 lb. barrels and arrange them on pallets.
Understand the set up and clean-up operation of the barrel line.
Assist in the set up and cleanup operation of the curd room.
Fill 25 lb. to 50 lb. curd boxes and stack them on a pallet.
Fill, bag, and stack whey products on a pallet.
Prepare loads for shipping accurately and efficiently as per the Bill of Lading.
Assist dryer operators in shut down and cleaning operations.
Assist pan operator in cleaning of the evaporators when assigned.
