About The Position
This role involves inspecting and measuring sheet materials, maintaining grinding operations, completing quality paperwork and checks, and preparing skids for shipment by wrapping and banding them. The position requires the ability to lift up to 40 lbs, read a tape measure, and physically handle plastic sheets by sliding or flipping them. Good attendance is crucial, as the work schedule is 3 days on and 3 days off. The company is IEG (Impact Environmental Group), a family of companies providing products and services to the global waste and recycling industry. IEG supports customer sustainability initiatives through companies like Impact, which has been a supplier of Container and Compactor repair parts since 1999, promoting a 'repair and not replace' philosophy to reduce environmental impact.
Requirements
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
- Must be able to read a tape measure.
- Physically able to slide or flip plastic sheets.
- Must have good attendance.
- Good communication skills.
- Able to be trained on using a micrometer.
- High school diploma and/or equivalent.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Legally eligible to work in the United States.
- Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
