About The Position

Accomplish on-time completions for reliability by planning, coordinating, and controlling priorities and production of parts produced for internal and external customers. Problem solves with the assistance of other team members and seeks continuous improvement. Performs and completes all activities with a high regard for the safety of others and oneself. May learn additional functions by cross-training in other departments as needed.

Requirements

  • Must be able to operate a forklift as required.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as shop order prints and procedure manuals.
  • Read emails and provide written or verbal correspondence.
  • Ability to communicate problems with components to the proper supervision.
  • Ability to communicate group instructions to department employees.
  • Ability to do basic math.
  • Ability to match number on shop order prints.
  • Ability to apply knowledge to carry out detailed and straight forward instructions in written, verbal, or schedule form.
  • Ability to logically and efficiently coordinate the movement of goods in the process.
  • Ability to perform critical thinking functions.
  • Ability to work in a regulated environment.
  • Good computer skills, MS office experience, and inventory control system.
  • Ability to learn and utilize good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read and understand safety data sheets when using chemicals.

Responsibilities

  • Communicates effectively with other flows, supervisors and managers to determine order priority, delayed materials or parts, and completed components.
  • Uses the dispatch reports, shop order prints, and EMS to prioritize work and determine components required, missing, damaged, or unfinished.
  • Follows recycling procedures for proper disposal of items.
  • Follows standard quality guidelines for all products.
  • Follows the requirements of good documentation practices when handling quality records or controlled documents.
  • Handles non-conforming parts and reports to supervision recuts.
  • Inspect work for quality, recognize flaws in components, and properly report problems to supervisors or receivers as necessary.
  • Issues and pulls the required components and/or matching shop orders to establish available work.
  • Keeps components in order and maintains an accurate count of components on hand.
  • Keeps workspace cleaned and organized.
  • Label what is due today and prioritize within the day.
  • Maintains sufficient work on the production lines and directs the flow of components.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment.
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed for production needs.
  • Must be safety oriented.
  • Utilizes lean manufacturing principles as trained or directed.
  • Performs additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.
