Iconma Portal•Gloucester, MA

About The Position

The Production Floor Coordinator is a hybrid Technical Trainer and Success Coach who delivers instructor-led onboarding for assemblers, technicians, and logistics employees, with a primary emphasis on Workmanship Standards. The role manages classroom and laboratory learning, maintains technical and instructional readiness, and supports the transfer of learning to the manufacturing floor. As a trainer, the coordinator delivers approved onboarding courses, prepares classrooms and labs, maintains required course and instructor qualifications, supports training-material updates, and keeps accurate training records. The role works with Engineering, Manufacturing, Logistics, Quality, Safety, business-unit subject matter experts, and GMTI to keep instruction aligned with current approved procedures and business needs. As a Success Coach, the coordinator observes employee work, provides timely feedback, identifies skill gaps, and partners with line leads and supervisors on practical development plans. The coordinator reinforces safety, quality, standard work, and 6S practices, supports new hires during their first twelve weeks on the manufacturing floor, and promptly escalates safety, quality, or documentation concerns. Product build or test activities may be supported when the employee is qualified and business needs warrant.
