About The Position

This role is for a Production Flightline Fuel Cell, F-16 Technician on the Lockheed Martin Greenville Production Team. The team is responsible for flightline maintenance, troubleshooting, and aircraft delivery to customers. The technician will perform removal, installation, and inspection of F-16 aircraft wings and fuel cells, as well as assembly and installation of components like fuel lines, hardware, and fittings on various aircraft. Responsibilities include maintaining F-16 hydrazine systems, diagnosing leak test results to identify errors, recommending corrective actions, and troubleshooting fuel skids and fuel systems on the flightline. The position requires the ability to comprehend technical documents, use hands for various tasks, and frequently perform physical activities such as standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, squatting, crawling, twisting, and working on or in aircraft. The role involves lifting/pushing/pulling up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally, performing repetitive movements, working overhead, and properly handling hazardous materials. Participation on the Hydrazine Response team may be required. Specific vision abilities are necessary, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn as needed. The employee is regularly exposed to vibration.

Requirements

  • 8 years of related aircraft production, overhaul, or modification experience on various aircraft Fuel systems.
  • At least 4 years of Legacy fighter flightline experience or other closely related flightline experience.
  • Experience with aircraft ground handling and test equipment.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance.
  • Must be a US Citizen for consideration due to security clearance requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Military Flightline experience (F-16 preferred)
  • USAF Level 5 or Level 7 Craftsman or equivalent
  • A strong understanding of the maintenance process and proper documentation.
  • Ability to read, comprehend and navigate tech data and engineering instructions.
  • Hydrazine response team experience.

Responsibilities

  • Performing removal, installation, and inspection functions of F-16 aircraft wings and fuel cells.
  • Assembly and installation of components such as fuel lines, hardware, and fittings on various aircraft.
  • Maintaining F-16 hydrazine systems.
  • Diagnosing results of leak test to detect drawing, specification, structural and assembly sealing errors.
  • Recommending corrective action necessary to correct deficiencies.
  • Fuel Skid and Fuel system troubleshooting on the Flightline.
  • Comprehending documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Using hands to grasp, handle, and/or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
  • Frequently standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, squatting, crawling, twisting, and working on or in the aircraft.
  • Frequently lifting and/or pushing or pulling up to 25 pounds and occasionally lifting and/or pushing or pulling up to 50 pounds.
  • Performing repetitive movements and working overhead.
  • Properly using, handling and disposing of hazardous materials, and toxic or caustic chemicals per Government regulations and company procedures.
  • Participating on the Hydrazine Response team as required.
  • Performing mission essential functions and other duties as assigned.
